Description:
This bike tour runs through northern part of the Czech Republic and its trips are projected to facilitate visiting and seeing the most interesting sights
of Unesco heritage and the most beautiful places along the entire trail. The tour leads through the Czech Republic and Poland. You will visit the best places
which may be offered by this tour – 6 the most popular Unesco historical landmarks, municipal preserves, and many other attractive places.
Program of this tour includes 13 days including free days so that you have sufficient time for sightseeing, relaxation, and entertainment. Based on wish it is
obviously possible to shorten or to lengthen the tour, or to replace individual VAN transfers by bike tours. You may choose from self guided bike tours or guided bike tours.
Daily program:
Day 1 Prague arrival day
The day starts by welcome at the airport, transfer to hotel, and accommodation. On that day you will devote your time to discovering bewitching places of Prague. We recommend the tour of the historical Unesco town centre and after the sightseeing tour there is a welcoming dinner prepared for you in the restaurant.
Day 2 Prague free day
This daily program starts by a tour of Prague’s Castle and its gardens. After a good lunch you can take advantage of a boat trip on Vltava River, visit Petrin observation tower from which you can take unforgettable bird’s eye pictures of Prague, and in the afternoon you will not forget to buy gifts from Prague and say good buy to the Capital of the Czech Republic. The first bike adventure is waiting four you in the morning.
Day 3 Prague - Pardubice : VAN transfer 58 km / 36 miles; cycling 52 km / 32 miles
After a rich breakfast your VAN will wait for you in front of the hotel, which will transport you to Cerny Most - suburbia of Prague, from which you will set out in direction to Podebrady. Along the trail in Prerov nad Labem you can visit the Open-air museum and a historical village in Ostre nad Labem. Then you already took off for Podebrady, one of the most popular spa towns in Bohemia. Before evening the VAN will take you to Pardubice - the town of world-famous Pardubice gingerbread.
Day 4 Pardubice - Litomyšl : cycling 60 km / 37 miles
Today one of the most exacting tours by its length and elevation is waiting for you. It is tour to Litomysl, another place registered as Unesco heritage. However, before this you will travel through Chrudim, where you can stop in the Museum of Puppets or to visit ruins of Kosumberk Castle. In Litomysl you will be enchanted by the historical centre – Municipal preserve and particularly Unesco Castle area.
Day 5 Litomyšl - Bouzov :
cycling 66 km / 41 miles
You leave Bohemia and another exacting trip will lead you to Moravia and to Bouzov Castle. In Bohemia we talk about it as a fairy tale castle, because it is very sought-after by movie makers and a lot of fairy tales and other films were made there.
Day 6 Bouzov - Olomouc :
cycling 41 km / 25 miles
You will certainly look forward to some rest. Today you will cycle primarily down and you will be welcomed by one of centres of Moravia. It will be Olomouc
with another Unesco monument in Olomouc Square - Holy Trinity Column. You will lodge in a pleasant hotel and you can have a nice evening in a pleasant wine cellar.
Day 7 Olomouc free day :
The gorgeous historical centre of Olomouc lures for exploration. However, you will need to take rest to be strong enough for
another part of
you tour. Therefore you can visit Mini-spa with salt cave, swimming pool, and solarium. And in the evening you will find a lot of entertainment
in wine restaurants, bars, concerts, or casinos.
Day 8 Olomouc - Valašské Meziříčí :
cycling 78 km / 48 miles
You will leave Olomouc for Valasske Mezirici, town under Beskydy Mountains. The tour is long and exacting with elevation 240 m. You will have no sufficient time
for stops on the trail, but those fastest may relax in a beautiful park in Lipnik nad Becvou or they may visit thermal Zbrasov caves, which are the most warm
in the Czech Republic. In Valaske Mezirici you certainly will be attracted by the Municipal preserve.
Day 9 Valašské Meziříčí - Rožnov pod Radhoštěm :
cycling 16 km / 10 miles
Unusually short tour brings about also one rest day, because after arrival to Roznov pod Radhostem we have planned sightseeing of unique Walachia open-air museum.
Wooden Town, Walachia Village, and Mill Valley will remind you of life of people of the 17th century. You will finish your day in a beautifully arranged centre of town.
Day 10 Rožnov pod Radhoštěm - Frýdlant nad Ostravicí cycling 39 km / 24 miles
Uphill tour – this way we can characterize today’s part of the tour to the highest mountain of Beskydy Mountains - Radhost. After 10km / 6miles you bike up
from 400 m to 1,129 m high Radhost, old cultural place of Slavs with the statue of Radegast god. In return
you will experience a beautiful view of Beskydy and then you will carefully bike down the hill to Pustevny - sought-after recreation centre,
and then to Frydlant nad Ostravici, where you will spend the last night in the Czech Republic.
Day 11 Frýdlant nad Ostravicí - Auschwitz :
VAN transfer 80 km / 50 miles;
cycling 42 km /
26 miles
You will say goodbye to the picturesque country of the Czech Republic and you will travel near Cesky Tesin - town bordering with Poland, divided to Czech and Polish part.
Here, at the border, your VAN will wait for you. It will take you to Auschwitz (Oswietim) – ominously famous former concentration camp.
Day 12 Auschwitz - Krakow : VAN transfer 70 km / 43 miles;
Flat plain leading to Krakow is not so attractive, so you will use your VAN.
After visit in concentration camp registered in the list of Unesco monuments you
will travel to Krakow – ancient town and destination sought-after by tourists.
Day 13 Krakow free day :
You can not pass over the historical Unesco centre of Krakow and you will devote all your day to it, because there are many places worth discovering. And for those,
who want to see one more beautiful monument, we can recommend a facultative tour to nearby Wieliczka - salt mine.
Day 14 Krakow departure day
You have packed everything and you wait for your VAN, which will take you from the hotel to the airport. You certainly look forward to your home,
but in spirit you say that you will certainly return one day.
